Message From The Pastor:
Dear Friend,
"Family" is a wonderful word! It is a descriptive word picture that suggests warmth, love, acceptance and a strong sense of loyalty and support for each member of the family. Santa Monica church is a family in the fullest sense of the word. We are spiritual brothers and sisters because we serve the same loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As a family we have dedicated ourselves to loving God supremely and reflecting His love to our community. To that end we are committed to:
- Showing, individually and as a group, our concerns for others;
- Enabling each member to develop and use his or her gifts and abilities;
- Fostering spiritual growth for people of all ages;
- Discovering and sharing the abundant Christian life;
- Participating in creative forms of worship;
- Reaching out to the community around us;
- Giving God the glory in all circumstances.
My wife Jill and I are very pleased to have been invited to be a vital part of this warm and caring church family, and to continue to lead them in the commitment that God has placed in their hearts. If you would like to be part of our church family you are welcomed, and we look forward to having you become a part of our active ministry.
Whether the agricultural community of Fresno, California, or the greater metropolitan area of Phoenix, Arizona, each church or district over the years has prepared me to facilitate the commitment of the Santa Monica church family, and to meet the unique challenges of Santa Monica and the greater West Los Angeles area.
